Eudemonia, n.

1. Happiness, well-being 2. Happiness as the result of an active life governed by reason.

Who doesn’t love happiness? Well-being? I really don’t have as much to say about this word as I thought I would. It’s amazing how appeasing it is to just think about happiness, and what makes us happy. Spending time with my friends, with good food and drinks, that puts me in a state of eudemonia. Traveling and playing piano as well. There are so many things in life that keep me active, that keep me reasonable, and keep me happy. To list them all would seem reductive. There’s no need to make a list of what makes me happy, but to just experience that state of being, to get a little lost in the eudemonia. Sounds blissful to me. I hope you all can find some eudemonia today, even for just a few minutes.
